Yuzvendra Chahal was born on 23rd July 1990 in Jind in the state of Haryana in India. He started off as a chess player. He represented India at the World Youth Chess Championship and is listed on the World Chess Federation’s official site. But he left chess due to his inability to find a sponsor.
He started playing domestic cricket for Haryana but was not very successful. He has grown up idolizing Shane Warne, the legendary leg spinner.
